Coffee Co bags second inflight listing

Fledging beverage company The Little Coffee Bag Co has confirmed it has secured a further 12 month inflight contract with EasyJet, and is in discussions with several other global airlines and duty free stores over listings for its innovative ‘real coffee on the go’ product.

The Little Coffee Bag provides an individual cafetière-style coffee in a choice of three blends without the accompanying mess. Each bag contains 10g of oven-roasted ground Arabica coffee and is brewed in the same way as a traditional tea bag, making it practical for travel serves on the go.

Following a year of research and investment from the UK television series ‘Dragon’s Den’ founder Carrie Bate launched The Little Coffee Bag Company in London’s Harvey Nichols, January 2013, and quickly secured contracts with Virgin Trains, EasyJet and IHG, amongst others. The company now trades in Korea, China, Europe, South Africa, Canada, America and New Zealand.

Says Bates, “I have had an incredible time since launching my company and met some wonderful people with whom I have made great friendships. I have also had the opportunity to pass my knowledge and business skills to sixth form business students wishing to set up their own coffee businesses, with two schools now having launched their companies with their profits going to Uganda and Tanzania.”

The Little Coffee Bag Co is offered to travel retail as individually wrapped bags in either the regular or decaffeinated blend, or as ready loaded 12oz double wall disposable cups, each holding a Blend No 1 Coffee Bag, sold in sleeves of 12 units, also in regular or decaffeinated options.
