Puig launches Les Infusions de Prada
By Danielle Hook |
Puig introduced travel retail exclusive perfume collection, Les Infusions de Prada, in May 2015, which consists of six different fragrances, under the creative direction and inspiration of Miuccia Prada. Each Infusion is said to reveal a ‘distinctive personality and confident light touch inspiring subtle intensity’.
The collection comprises six scents; iris cèdre; fleurd’oranger; Vétiver; Oeillet and Amande. Each infusion is a ‘poetic interpretation’ of a single symbolic natural ingredient.
The brand says: “Les Infusions de Prada is the culmination of a reverence for the past, an understanding of our place in the present and the forward-looking point of view of Prada. They embody the graceful weave of apparent contradictions at the heart of Prada: heritage moulded to modernity, poetry meeting precision, instinct alongside intellect, subtlety together with power, sensuality emphasised by freshness.”
In a contemporary twist, a coloured film has been moulded to the base of each bottle, tinting the glass and liquid. Each cap is also differentiated by its own colour.
IRIS – ‘Fresh and light, precious, elusive and perfectly balanced.’
IRIS CÈDRE – An interpretation of Iris, this infusion blends notes of Iris and Neroli, Cedarwood, Vetiver, Incense and Benzoin.
FLEUR D’ORANGER – Orange Blossom Absolute and Neroli meet luxurious Jasmine and Tuberose in this infusion described as ‘a delicate and charming fragrance with an irreverent edge, augmented through sparkling Mandarin water’.
AMANDE – Almonds infused in Bergamot water blended with star Anise are at the heart of this scent, underlined by Tonka Bean and bitter Almond oil.
OEILLET – This fragrance described as ‘spicy’ incorporates Sandalwood, Mandarin essence and Honduran Styrax for a fragrance that is both ‘sensual and fresh’.
VÉTIVER – ‘An imprint of Vetiver, reminiscent of a very tender kind of green’.
This range is available in 100ml bottles in all travel retail regions, but with selective distribution.
