Lagardère TR expands DFW retail footprint

By Charlotte Turner |

Lagardère Travel Retail North America has opened two new stores – Hugo Boss and Tumi – in Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW)’s flagship international terminal, where concession sales exceeded $313m in 2014.

Located adjacent to one another in terminal D’s North village, both stores are said to offer items that cater to both leisure and business travellers.

As previously reported, Dallas Fort Worth Airport tendered 20 retail and F&B concessions at 34 locations across three terminals, back in December of last year.

The majority were located in the International Terminal D and comprised duty free, ‘premium retail’, F&B and four ‘experiential bars’. Some locations were also in Terminals B and E.

“A global leader in high quality luxury fashion and accessories – with stores in 124 countries, including the world’s busiest airports – the international icon Hugo Boss offers premium collections in men’s business and leisure wear, leather goods, watches and fragrances,” says LTR North America.

Tumi is known for its black-on-black ballistic nylon travel bags that “catapulted the company to its current leadership position, and is recognized as the world’s leading brand of luxury travel, business, and lifestyle accessories,” says LTR NA.

“We are grateful to DFW for their renewed trust in our team”, said Gerry Savaria, President & CEO of LTR North America. “These two new stores are the perfect addition to DFW’s outstanding terminal D offering and to our company’s overall program in the airport. We look forward to opening more stores later this year in coordination with DFW’s TRIP program”.

These two new stores come after the opening in DFW of six locations in the last few months, including two iStores (in terminal A and D). More LTR stores (including two 7-Eleven) are scheduled to open later this year.

Spanning over 17,000 acres and with more than 60m passengers travelling through it in 2014, DFW is the largest airport in Texas and the fourth busiest airport in the United States.
