Points will do nicely, thank you.

Points will do nicely, thank you.

From today, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is accepting payment for tax-free items on board with ‘award miles’ from members of the loyalty scheme, Flying Blue.

The Flying Blue programme includes a number of airlines including Air France and Transavia and the new service extends members’ ability to use their points. They could previously use their miles to buy tax-free articles in the KLM web shop and pay for flights, extra baggage or legroom, hotel rooms, or car hire.

Now the service is extended to on-board payments on a range of travel retail items such as perfumes, cosmetics, fashion accessories and electronic products.
