Tourvest to scale up with Airlink in new contract

The new partnership between Flysafair and Tourvest will commence 1 August, 2023.

FlySafair has awarded Tourvest Retail Services the contract to provide onboard products, services and technology solutions to the airline, effective 1 August 2023.

The partnership will give rise to a number of ‘positive developments’ in terms of additional onboard payment methods, as well as an enhanced menu and fresh sandwich selection.

This will be followed by a programme of ‘additional enhancement’ to be rolled out over the coming months, according to a statement released by Tourvest Retail Services.

“Tourvest is excited to have been awarded the FlySafair contract, especially given the airlines positioning and growth in the market,” said Clive Jones, Chief Executive Officer at Tourvest Retail Services.

“We are determined and committed to add value to FlySafair and most importantly, their onboard customers.

“Of course, any change and implementation of this scale will have its initial challenges, however, when both parties synergise their individual core competencies, this results in some exciting opportunities.

“We have an aligned joint strategy and set of objectives for the retail programme, which therefore empowers both parties to be unified in our focus on the execution of the strategy, with the express intent to delight the FlySafair customers onboard, which is ultimately why we are here.”

A programme of ‘additional enhancement’ will be rolled out over the coming months, says Tourvest.

FlySafair is South Africa’s largest domestic airline, operating over 150 flights per day, with an expanding African regional route network.

“Our intention has always been to offer an end-to-end flight service that is affordable, reliable, and hassle-free,” said Kirby Gordon, Chief Marketing Officer at FlySafair.

“We’re confident that we’ve found a partner in Tourvest who can help us continue to deliver against that intention when it comes to our on board retail offering.”
