As reported, APTRA will hold a two-day event in Delhi on 20-21 March at the Pullman New Delhi Aerocity hotel.

It will explore the significance of the outbound Indian shopper and the increasing pace of India’s fast-growing travel market and the opportunities for brands, retailers, distributors, F&B operators and others.

An opening cocktail reception will take place on the evening of 19 March.

APTRA states that ‘several eminent leaders’ from travel retail and the wider aviation and tourism sector will feature as part of the programme.

“With their outstanding track record at the nation’s premier gateway airport, Delhi Duty Free are the natural host to partner with APTRA as we create a detailed conference programme delivering valuable insights on the Indian market landscape and the evolution of Indian travellers at home and abroad.

“I am also pleased to say that since announcing our plans to hold the conference we have received substantial interest from a range of retail and brand partners and we will be announcing more names soon.  The support of these valued partners enables us to offer delegates a very reasonable registration rate.”

Ashish Chopra, Chief Executive Officer, Delhi Duty Free Services added: “Delhi Duty Free is delighted to partner with APTRA as official host of the first travel retail conference in India since Covid.

“During the industry downturn, India was one of the earliest markets to re-open, accelerating out of the blocks and has continued to grow ever since.
