Foreo and FAQ host influencer surfing and skincare event in Wanning

Swedish beauty and skin tech supplier Foreo and sister brand FAQ teamed up recently with the Loop Surf Salon in Wanning, Hainan, to host the Foreo x Loop surfer classes.

In addition to offering advice on how to catch the perfect wave, the collaboration also highlighted the benefits of using the various Foreo and FAQ devices pre- and post-surf, to keep skin clean, hydrated and protected.

Targeting new consumers

Loop Surf salon is Asia’s largest surf club, and also serves as the national surfing training base. Located in Riyue Bay, Wanning, it is 87km from Sanya. Popular with Gen Z surfers, it is widely considered to be the best surfing spot in China.

The Foreo & FAQ x Loop Surf Beauty Class featured eight Gen Z KOLs, and a selection of surfer students and Wanning tourists. The attending KOLs have a joint total of 600,000 followers on the Chinese lifestyle social media platform Red. They included well-known fashion and travel names such as Xulaoshi and Joanna Li, and sports influencers Le Billyboy, Akasa, Wensley and Lukina.

The Foreo & FAQ x Loop Surf Beauty Class featured eight Gen Z KOLs, who demonstrated the skincare benefits of using the various Foreo and FAQ devices pre- and post-surf.

After the surf classes, attendees were invited to participate in the Foreo & FAQ Seaside Beauty Class, which showcased the Luna 4 Go cleansing, the UFO 2 deep hydration, and the FAQ 201 post-sun skin repair devices.

Foreo Global Travel Retail Director Gary Leong commented: “We are thrilled to be tapping into such a unique customer base in partnership with Loop Surfing Salon, aligning with our mission to target niche customer groups for more grassroots penetration.”

Guests were invited to a Seaside Beauty Class, which showcased the Luna 4 Go cleansing, the UFO 2 deep hydration, and the FAQ 201 post-sun skin repair devices.

He added: “Wanning is an important part of our expansion in Hainan, and by creating tailor-made activations curated to the interests of tourists and visitors, we can ensure long-term customer retention and increase brand awareness.”
