Haribo targets Asia and the Middle East in TR
By Charlotte Turner |
Haribo World Travel Retail will showcase its colourful new range of sharing confectionery on stand C28 in Basement 2 at TFWA Asia Pacific travel retail exhibition in May.
In the spotlight will be the new Haribo Pick & Party 748; a generous-sized assortment of mini-bags of some of the German company’s favourite brands – Goldbears, Happy Cola, Starmix, Tropifrutti, and Roulette – in a hang-sell pouch with a silhouette-cut side.
“Travel-exclusive resealable pouches of best-sellers Haribo Air-Parade, Goldbears, Happy Cola and Starmix in 750g and 250g sizes have been developed to suit retailers looking for shelf display and check-out combinations,” says the brand.
“Consumers will love the neat zip closures of the bags of their much-loved confectionery which mean the contents stay fresh and tidy throughout the trip.”
TRAVEL RETAIL EXCLUSIVES
The company says that adults looking for a treat for children ‘will love’ the innovative Haribo Twist ‘n’ Stick which combines tasty jellies with a creative activity.
Available only in travel retail, this pack contains mini-bags of Tangfastics, Starmix and Goldbears and a set of special stickers to dress the Goldbear character in holiday outfits.
“For a premium gift, the giant Haribo Goldbear 350g bear-shaped Perspex gift box is filled with 35 mini Haribo Goldbear bags and is tied at the waist with a jaunty red and blue ribbon,” adds the brand.
Juan Miguel Cabrera, Head of Travel Retail comments on the company’s ambitions in Asia: “The growth markets of Asia and the Middle East are a particular focus for Haribo in 2016-2017 and we are looking forward to meeting our colleagues from this region at the Singapore show.
TFWA CHILL-OUT SPONSOR
“On stand we will have a great range of bright, colourful confectionery and, in addition, we are sponsoring the TFWA Asia Pacific Chill-Out Party this year for extra visibility and a bit of fun.
“Haribo has made steady progress in the last year, expanding distribution in all regions, even in some where we were not present previously, and introducing travel-exclusive packaging for many of our favourite confectionery lines. We are confident that our new travel-exclusive skus will ensure future success in the channel.”
