Lotte Duty Free opened the MLB inspired New Era pop-up store on 29 February at its Myeongdong main store.
Korean travel retailer Lotte Duty Free has launched a duty free exclusive pop-up at its Myeongdong downtown store, inspired by the Major League Baseball (MLB) World Tour Seoul Series 2024.
The New Era pop-up was unveiled on 29 February at the Star Lounge on the 14th floor of Lotte’s Myeongdong main store, complete with a baseball themed Hit A Home Run spring promotion.
The MLB World Tour Seoul Series is taking place at Gocheok SkyDome in Seoul from 20-21 March 2024 and Lotte’s pop-up will be active until 24 March.
At New Era, visitors can discover the Seoul Series collection featuring caps worn by MLB players, tee-shirts and hoodies.
There’s also a variety of shopping promotions to take advantage of.
Until March 10, Korean customers making purchases at Lotte Duty Free’s brick and mortar stores will receive an exchange rate compensation and a double gift initiative from selected credit card companies.
If the retail exchange rate exceeds KRW1,320 per dollar on the date of purchase, the customer’s LDF Pay (the retailer’s digital payment platform) will be credited up to KRW150,000 won (around US$112).

The Lotte Duty Free pop-up is inspired by the Major League Baseball (MLB) World Tour Seoul Series 2024, which is taking place at Gocheok SkyDome in Seoul from 20-21 March.
Furthermore, Korean shoppers travelling overseas in spring and spending more than $200 at Lotte stores in the city will be given a scratch coupon for the chance to win New Era products. This promotion is active until the end of March.
“We have prepared various promotions for the spring as well as a New Era exclusive pop-up store to commemorate the Major League Baseball World Tour,” commented a Lotte Duty Free spokesperson.
“Lotte Duty Free will continue to make efforts to provide a rich duty-free shopping experience to domestic and foreign customers.”

The Hit A Home Run campaign offers a variety of enticing promotions for Korean customers in spring.
Meanwhile, Lotte Duty Free is operating a pop-up store for makeup brand 3CE until 31 March at duty free showroom LDF House in Myeongdong.
Domestic and foreign customers visiting the downtown store can receive discounts of up to 25%, depending on the number of purchases they make.
In addition, all items of the Smiley Edition have a 30% discount.
There’s also a 1+1 event where customers can buy a Velvet Lip Tint and get one free.
Shoppers will also receive a variety of freebies, such as pouches, mini tints, 3CE board games and LDF house shopper bags, depending on the purchase amount.
