By Charlotte Turner |

As reported on 27 January Nuance Watson (Singapore) has recently won the rights to operate a standalone Victoria’s Secret Beauty & Accessories (VSBA) store in Singapore Changi Airport.

The 68sq m shop will open in April 2012 at Terminal 1 Departure/Transit Lounge West.

NW Singapore comments: “This newly awarded VSBA concession brings new heights to the partnership between Limited Brands International, distributor of Victoria’s Secret worldwide [and ourselves].”

After opening the Victoria’s Secret Beauty at Changi’s Terminal 3 mega store in January 2008, Nuance-Watson has seen ‘tremendous growth’ of the brand year-on-year.

More precisely, the Asian retailer recorded growth of more than 50% for Victoria’s Secret Beauty products during 2010 at its Perfumes & Cosmetics stores.

With this new tender, Nuance-Watson Singapore will work closely with Limited Brands to operate the new store based on Victoria’s Secret’s new Travel and Tourism concept with focus on its beauty and branded accessories.

The upcoming VSBA store will give customers access to a range of Victoria Secret branded beauty products, together with a limited assortment of innerwear, sleepwear and loungewear.

The store design is typically glamorous – black and hot pink – decorated with black and white supermodel images.

‘CUTTING EDGE IN RETAIL CONCEPTS’

Nuance-Watson (Singapore) Managing Director, Ken Tse said “We strive to be innovative and at the cutting edge in our retail concepts to be inline with Changi Airport Group’s ideology to be the forerunner of airport retailing.

“Victoria’s Secret is a powerful brand with consistent sales and profit growth.  The new VSBA Travel and Tourism retail concept for the upcoming store will make it easy for passengers to pick up an item quickly with its accessible price points and unique range of products.

“We are delighted to be working with Limited Brands more closely, and we believe with the inclusion of this new store, it will further enrich the shopping experience for passengers in Changi Airport. We look forward to more openings soon.”
