TFWA plans new China Conference
By Doug Newhouse |
Tax Free World Association has decided to run another China conference outside of Beijing in 2015, according to President Erik Juul-Mortensen.
In a major interview with TRBusiness due to be published in the upcoming April print edition, Juul-Mortensen confirmed that the decision has been taken to commit to the conference and this follows the outstanding success of its China Century event held in Beijing in March 2013 – entitled ‘China’s Century: The Fast Pace of Change in China Duty Free & Travel Retail’, which attracted 372 delegates from 200 companies.
Asked whether Shanghai might be an option, Juul-Mortensen said at the time of the interview that there were actually two short-listed venues being discussed at the Management Committee meeting in Amsterdam.
That meeting has subsequently taken place (last week) and further details are expected to be formally announced shortly.
[Last year’s China Century Conference was rated the best industry conference ever by TRBusiness’ Editorial Director Doug Newhouse].
