SVO boosts retail spend incentives with loyalty card

Imperial-Duty-Free-Heinemann-Sheremetyevo-leadSheremetyevo International Airport (SVO) in Moscow and Binbank have officially launched a joint SVO club card with Mastercard, which will allow passengers to take advantage of a variety of privileges and bonuses including duty free discounts.

 

Purchases in any retail store at the airport attract 5% back in bonuses and when paying by card in other categories in any stores outside the airport, 1% can be redeemed in bonuses. One bonus point equals one rouble.

 

Interestingly, cardholders can retrieve a 10% discount at the Imperial Heinemann Duty Free store and the restaurant ‘Chocolate Girl’ at the airport.

 

According to SVO, this is the only loyalty program of this kind in Russia. The money bonuses from each purchase are accrued on the card and then the passenger has the opportunity to use the free parking services in Terminal D and the parking of nearby hotels, receive discounts in duty free as well as other benefits.

 

CREDIT LIMIT AND CASH WITHDRAWAL

The card can be obtained immediately at Sheremetyevo Airport and can be issued to Russian or foreign passport holders.

“This unique loyalty program for Russia is our way of thanking passengers for using the airport’s services,” said Denis Pashkovsky, Deputy General Director for Commercial Activities of Sheremetyevo Airport operator, MASH JSC.

The SVO club Mastercard can be standard or premium and it is possible to open a credit limit of up to Rbs 300,000 (standard) and up to Rbs 1m (premium).

 

The premium cardholder receives 7% in bonuses for every purchase made in the ‘travel’ category, which includes air and railway tickets, hotel reservations and car rental. The standard cardholder will be rewarded 5%.

 

The multicurrency bonus card also allows passengers to withdraw cash without commission at an ATM of any bank in Russia and abroad and entitles them and their relatives to free registration of insurance for travelling abroad with cover up to €100,000.
