Aéroport Toulouse-Blagnac (ATB) will open a transformed shopping area at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport (TLS) tomorrow (4 December) as it approaches the conclusion of a major transformation project.

Approximately 17 new or renovated shops will come online between tomorrow and April next year under concessions granted to Lagardère Travel Retail (travel essentials), Areas (Elior Group), Dufry and other independent brands.

These include a number of French airport exclusives such as Rituals, Tous and Victoria’s Secret.

NINE BOUTIQUES

Other brands include La Tête dans les Etoiles & Looping, Parfois, The Fashion Place, Relay Stade Toulousain FNAC, Relay (two outlets), Mademoiselle Vernis, Relay Ducs de Gascogne, Relay Casino Shop, Donjon, FNAC, Aelia Beaute, Tie Rack and Travelex.

Nine boutiques will be immediately accessible after duty free to satisfy the airport’s growing international passenger profile.

“The shopping area boasts major international chains alongside brands that encapsulate our regional identity, such as the Stade Toulousain rugby store and La Tête dans les Etoiles,” said the airport in a statement.

The new retail unveiling does not include any changes to the core duty free space.

As reported, Dufry was awarded a five-year contract beginning in April to operate stores at the airport over an area of more than 1,800sq m.

The new space profiles traditional tobacco, alcohol, food and a range of other merchandise, an airport spokesperson updates TRBusiness.

EVENTS AGENDA

The retail unveil is part of a series of events marking the culmination of a two-year transformation project, which began with the opening of the airport’s food court and 4-start hotel NH Toulouse Airport on Saturday (1 December).

Passengers can now enjoy no fewer than 15 food options, from takeway cuisine to coffee shops and restaurants at Hall C.

A Starbucks coffee shop with an outdoor terrace located on the ground floor of Hall C at the front of the terminal building is also due to go live on Thursday 6 December.

Philippe Crébassa, Chairman of the Executive Board at Aéroport Toulouse-Blagnac said: “This is a true overhaul, an essential development to meet the needs of substantially increasing air traffic in Toulouse, combined with an unprecedented number of international passengers.

“The work we’ve carried out means we can offer our users a wider range of services and best-in-class quality standards.

“We have created this new vibrant space, inspired by a harmonious combination of tradition and modernity, to offer our passengers an unforgettable experience.”

TLS broke the nine million passenger barrier in 2017.
