Simon Forde, CEO, BF & GH Travel Retail Ltd added: “As the world’s leading duty free retailer, we work directly with leading suppliers and brands.

“Combined with an understanding of the needs of the Ukrainian buyer, this gives us the opportunity to offer our customers the best and most desirable Ukrainian goods at a competitive price.

“Shopping at duty free is an important part of the passenger experience, so it was very important for us to open a store before New Year’s Eve.”

Additionally, the airport inaugurated a Citrus gadget store at the arrivals hall on 26 December.

The shop stocks a variety of electronics goods and equipment for travellers and is the first network store to open at an airport in Ukraine.

Cheglatonev commented: “Odessa Airport is the first among the airports to start cooperation with the leader in the electronics market, the Citrus company.
