Camel’s ‘wow’ effect drives Al Nassma’s global TR growth

By Pepi Sappal |

AlNassmaUAE’s Al Nassma Chocolate expands its global reach into new DF&TR markets, thanks to the ‘wow’ effect of its ‘iconic’ camel displays, says the brandowner.

“Our camel herd continues its global expansion and we have added significant new markets in the last few months,” stated Patrick Dorais, Director of Sales at Al Nassma Chocolate. “These include new listings with Dufry Egypt & Morocco, as well as LS Travel Retail in Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam.”

The world’s first camel milk chocolate producer also continues to grow in existing DF&TR markets, said Dorais. “We are delighted to continue to grow with Dubai Duty Free, with the addition of a camel display in their new location in Riverland, Dubai Parks and Resorts, as well as in the newly-refurbished Dufry shop at Sharjah Airport.”

‘ICONIC’ CAMEL DISPLAYS

Commenting on Al Nassma’s recent global expansion activities, he said: “We continue to believe that telling the story is important, especially when one has a true story to tell – and our camel lends itself naturally to providing a well-needed sense of place, especially in the Middle East and North African geographies.

“Our iconic displays create a ‘wow’ effect, interrupting the passenger journey and drive penetration into the category, ultimately benefiting not only ourselves and the retailers, but also our other confectionery confreres.”
