AENA’s Echegaray to join ADP as Director of International

Fernando Echegaray from AENA to ADP TOP Aéroports de Paris (ADP) has announced that Fernando Echegaray is joining the company from Spanish airport operator AENA this July as Director of International Operations.

 

For the last five years and four months Echegaray has held the position of Spanish Airport Network Director at AENA.

 

He is currently responsible for the management and operations at 46 airports in the AENA network handling more than 230m passengers and 2m flight operations a year (2016).

 

These airports include the high-traffic locations of Madrid, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Malaga, Alicante and Gran Canaria. All airport directors in Spain report directly to Echegaray, who is also an AENA executive committee member, a board member of AENA International and a board member at London Luton International Airport.

VERY EXPERIENCED EXECUTIVE

During his career with AENA, Echegaray was also the Deputy Director of Palma de Mallorca Airport between 1985-1999, before becoming Director of Operations at Mexico’s Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico in Mexico between 2003 to 2004.

 

He then returned to AENA to become the Deputy CEO of Tenerife South Airport and from 2004 to 2006 was Deputy CEO of the Canary Islands airports. He subsequently became Deputy CEO of Barcelona-El Prat International Airport from 2006 to 2012, before becoming Director of AENA’s Spanish airports network in 2012.

 

In his new role with ADP, Echegaray will now manage and develop Groupe ADP’s network of 23 airports in France and around the world, reporting to the Executive Director in charge of international affairs for Groupe ADP, Antonin Beurrier.
