Highland Park launches travel-exclusive 17 Year Old with chef Björn Frantzén

Highland Park’s new travel-exclusive 17 Year Old Single Malt is created in collaboration with three Michelin-starred chef Björn Frantzén.
Highland Park has unveiled Between You and I: Journeys, a travel-exclusive 17 Year Old Single Malt created in collaboration with three Michelin-starred chef Björn Frantzén.
The expression is available exclusively in global travel retail from October 2025, launching first with Dubai Duty Free in a world-première activation, priced at US$195 / £155.
The debut installation at Dubai International Airport runs throughout October, with four activation sites across departures and arrivals. It will be followed by a showcase in the high-profile Terminal 3 promotion space in November.
Immersive displays and storytelling elements bring the whisky’s concept to life, supported by a gift-with-purchase tote bag. Further activations are planned for Edinburgh, Shanghai Pudong and Singapore Changi airports later this year and into early 2026.
Between You and I: Journeys takes a different approach to whisky communication. Rather than providing traditional tasting notes, Highland Park invited Frantzén to interpret the whisky through personal memories and associations drawn from his travels.
As he explored the whisky’s layered flavours, he was reminded of moments from Stockholm, Tahiti, New York, Istanbul and Orkney, where he visited the distillery and its aromatic heather peat. His reflections form the basis of the campaign’s central invitation: “Where will it take you?”
The whisky has been matured for 17 years in a combination of first-fill French oak casks seasoned with red wine, alongside sherry-seasoned American oak and refill casks, producing a rich, fruity and complex character. The packaging reflects Frantzén’s sensory impressions, with six layered colours representing distinct memories. Inside, a booklet replaces tasting notes with reflective prompts that encourage drinkers to respond personally to the whisky.
Paul Condron, Brand Director at Highland Park, said the release is designed to inspire a more emotional connection with flavour. He explained: “In the complex flavours of Between You and I: Journeys, there are so many powerful associations to discover. It invites whisky lovers to expand their ideas of the whisky experience, enjoying it in a way that’s more personal and deeply connected to how flavour and scent can transport us.”
