Horizon retail offer ‘the most significant’ on a Carnival ship

Carnival Cruise Line’s Vice President of Retail Services William Butler has hailed the commercial spread onboard new vessel Carnival Horizon as the ‘most significant’ across its fleet.

 

LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton subsidiary Starboard Cruise Services has unveiled an expansive retail space featuring a variety of renowned brands, including Breitling, Hublot, Rebecca Minkoff, Michael Kors, Kate Spade and Starboard’s first Victoria’s Secret boutique.

 

“Carnival Horizon represents our most significant commitment to retail offerings on any Carnival ship,” said Butler.  “In partnership with Starboard Cruise Services, we created the right atmosphere and introduced the right merchandise assortment and experiences for our brand and guests. The retail environment is designed to further enhance our guests’ vacation experience and we look forward to celebrating many special occasions with an incredible assortment of merchandise.”

 

Horizon is one of three new ship openings for Starboard Cruise Services this year, the others being onboard Royal Caribbean’s Symphony of the Seas and Celebrity Edge (latter due later this year).

 

The multi-year agreement means Starboard now provides retail concessions onboard nine Carnival ships.

 

‘SHOP FUN’

 

A new ‘Shop Fun’ retail concept encompasses highly personalised services and a cross-section of category offerings spanning fashion & accessories, beauty & fragrance, spirits, watches, jewellery and more.

 

The architecture for the concept centres on a two-level shopping promenade surrounding the ship’s atrium on decks four and five, with trained sales staff treating guests to exceptional service and entertainment.

 

Guests are also invited to engage in a number of themed, experience-led retail activations.

The vessel features Carnival Cruise Line’s first Victoria’s Secret boutique.

 

At the Victoria’s Secret boutique visitors can browse merchandise and fragrances while enjoying a glass of champagne, indulge in a runway-face off, or partake in a spin the wheel game to win prizes as part of the Victoria’s Secret Girls Night Out.

 

A Beauty and Fragrance Bar allows guests to experiment with make-up and fragrances and receive makeovers.

 

Further bespoke services are also available at Rock Envy with Crystals from Swarovski, allowing guests to custom design their perfect jewellery pieces from a vast selection of charms, bracelets, necklaces, rings and watches.

 

Another, What’s your Jewellery Personality? Pairs gemstones to guests’ personalities, while the Le Vian Style Me Fashion Event styles guests with jewellery items to pose for photo opportunities. They will also receive a Le Vian gemstone with the option to upgrade to a piece suitable to their tastes.

 

For the sartorial obsessed, The Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Life serves up sunglasses, fragrances and signature whiskies.

Guests can enjoy a VIP-style jewellery service from Le Vian to suit their style and personality.

Meanwhile, Happier Hour Daily Tastings deliver some of the globe’s top liquors, including the travel retail exclusive Hennessy White, with the chance to try blind tastings.

 

Finally, Wearable Tech satisfies the technology aficionado’s demand for multi-functionable watch styles in Carnival’s first store dedicated to wearable tech.

 

“I’m very pleased with the ‘Shop Fun’ concepts we have created with our partners at Starboard,” added Butler.
