MauiBrilliant from Maui Jim aims to dazzle TR
By Doug Newhouse |
Premium sunglasses manufacturer and supplier Maui Jim says it is ready ‘to dazzle the travel retail world’ with this month’s launch of MauiBrilliant which it describes as ‘the company’s most technologically advanced material to date’.
The company says this product is made from the highest optical grade, impact-resistant, non-glass lens on the market and does not compromise on quality.
The company said: “Standard glass lenses can offer high levels of clarity and scratch resistance, but at the expense of weight and impact resistance. Traditional polycarbonate lenses are lightweight and impact-resistant, but have lower levels of clarity and less effective scratch resistance.
ONE THIRD THE WEIGHT OF GLASS LENSES
“MauiBrilliant injection-moulded lenses combine optics which are almost as clear as glass, with just one-third of the weight, making them ideal for men and women who enjoy an active lifestyle.”
The company has announced that the first three rimless styles featuring MauiBrilliant bi-gradient lenses will be shown at this coming week’s TFWA Asia Pacific duty free & travel retail exhibition in Singapore between 10-12 May.
It added: “With flexible temples crafted from lightweight beta-titanium, rubber sleeves for comfort and adjustable nose pads, Alaka’i (style #743), Kumu (#724) and Kupuna (#742) are designed to stay in place whatever the adventure.
“The three MauiBrilliant styles are available in a choice of colours with co-ordinating lens shades: Gloss Black with Maui Rose lenses, Blue with Neutral Grey, Metallic Gloss Copper with HCL Bronze and Gunmetal with Maui HT.”
FACE FRIENDLY…
Maui Jim says that the design of these sunglasses, which vary slightly in lens shape, also complements most medium-sized, round, oval or oblong face shapes, providing widespread appeal for travellers and travel retailers.
As is well known, all Maui Jim sunglasses feature the company’s patented PolarizedPlus2® lenses which eradicate 99.9% of glare, managing 95% of HEV and blocking 100% of harmful ultra violet rays, while boosting colour to unmatched levels.
The company concluded: “The optically correct, distortion-free lenses feature patented lens treatments and rare earth elements, so that colour and clarity are enhanced using natural light.”
