Autumnal MCM 2012 collection spiced up with Funk Rock and Leopard print lines

MCM’s Autumn Winter 2012 collection is dominated by autumnal colours such orange, red, blue, green and dark brown spiced up with an ‘on-trend’ leopard print line.

 

 

The 2012 collection will feature leather, visetos and combination lines, with big practical bags – finished with all round zip-tops – being introduced. The Shopper project has also been extended.

 

According to the fashion and accessories brand, MCM’s Heritage line in its signature Cognac Visetos collection has long been a best seller, ‘epitomising all that is associated with the brand: quality, functionality and practicality, combined with style through both classic and in-trend shapes’.

 

This season sees the range extended with a number of new shapes, such as pillbox shaped hard luggage, barrel weekenders, jewellery and vanity cases; others designed for the travelling businesswoman such as backpack, trolley bag, travel wallet and flat cosmetic purses in various sizes.

 

MCM MessengerHANDBAGS

Handbags range from mini cross-body, drawstring or satchel styles to medium tambourine, large shoulder or reversible shopper designs.

 

But male travellers have not been neglected. New men’s lines such as Heritage, Stark and Urban Styler have been added and a myriad of SLGs are on offer for both genders, including passport holders, wallets and iphone cases.

 

The Heritage line comprises nostalgic pieces, practical travel accessories, and fashionable, in-trend shapes, all finished with an MCM leather tag,

 

Travel retail prices start from €675 for a barrel weekender, €420 for a medium messenger, €300 for a small crossbody.

 

MCM Shopper ProjectANIMAL PRINT

Animal print also features within the AW12 collection and MCM has introduced a leopard theme that threads through different lines, combining with visetos.

 

In Funk Rock Luxury MCM combines the signature visetos together with gold or metal studs. Shapes include shopper, Boston, clutch and drawstring along with various flap and zipped wallets in different sizes.   Travel retail prices start from €895 for a medium drawstring, €725 for a large shopper, €215 for a small zip wallet.

 

The Leo collection employs studded leopard print pvc with leather trim on a large shopper, supported with a range of traveller’s accessories: camera bag, pouch, belt bag, name tag, iphone case and bracelet.

 

Travel retail prices start from €505 for a Little Veronika Visetos medium satchel or cross mini, €130 for a smartphone case, €605 for a large tote. Leo prices start from €1235 for a large draw shopper, €85 for a name tag.

 

VINTAGE VISETOS

Also new for AW12 is Vintage Visetos, available as a hobo, shopper, cross mini and flap shoulder in various sizes.

 

Signature line First Lady evolves from season to season. For AW12, colours include orange, blue, taupe and black. Shapes, material and detailing have also been updated.

 

Carryubg over into Autumn/Winter 2012 the Ivana Patent in now available in charcoal grey, red-orange, navy and taupe. Nouvo L (previously Sophia) has been updated with new shapes such as zipped totes in small, medium and large sizes and includes an SLG selection including zipped and flap wallets, card wallet and reversible belt.

 

SMALL LEATHER GOODS

MCM comments: “The importance of small leather goods and gift items is highlighted by specific SLG lines such as Visetos Round. Combining classic cognac or dark brown visetos with contrasting coloured linings in red, orange, navy, camel or black, for a modern, trendy look, the line includes a wide range of wallet sizes, plus card cases, key wallets, reversible belt.”

 

Travel retail prices start at €180 for a large wallet, €145 for a reversible belt.
