Sim Local to open first overseas standalone store at Brussels Airport

Sim Local is to open its first standalone store outside the UK and Ireland at Brussels International Airport.
TRBusiness first revealed the company’s overseas expansion plans in an exclusive interview with Andrew McClellan, Chief Operating Officer, Sim Local last year.
McClellan said: “This is a model we can take abroad very easily. There are a number of airports worldwide which are crying out for a really solid sim offer.”
The new store at Belgium Airport will service international travellers to the Belgian capital as passenger restrictions lift.
Sim Local will provide a choice of sim cards and connectivity options to international travellers looking to stay seamlessly connected while abroad, without incurring additional roaming charges.

Accessories from brands including Skross and PanzerGlass will also be available, will fully trained staff on hand to help customers select the right offer and products.
The opening of the Belgium store follows the unveiling of a new departure store at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 on 30 June. Plans to open the store were also revealed in the aforementioned exclusive interview with McClellan. Further stores are expected to open during the course of the year.

Sim Local has points of sale at over 150 locations worldwide. Customers can purchase sim cards from the company’s travel affiliates such as WHSmith and InMotion and from Sim Local stores and vending machines located in airports globally.
