TRS have eyes wide open to Magicstripes’ potential

Travel Retail Solutions is working in partnership with Tourvest Inflight Retail Services to launch their latest beauty innovation, ‘Magicstripes’ on board all flight routes from July 2015.

Magicstripes are dermatologically tested transparent strips that provide an invisible, immediate lift of the eyelid without the need for invasive cosmetic surgery.

Quick and simple to use, Magicstripes are available in small and medium sizes and enough for over a month’s daily use in each pack. Eyes look years younger in seconds, claim the brand.

Studies show that eyelid surgery is on the rise and is the second most common surgical procedure in the UK after breast augmentation. Eyelid surgery is in demand by both women and men with 15% more operations across both sexes carried out during 2013 than in 2012.

In Asia, large, round eyes are seen as an ideal of beauty and women are frequently using the non-surgical strips to lift their lids and create the desired optical effect.

Leading make-up artist to the fashion and music industry, Natalie Franz, discovered the trend on a fact-finding mission to Tokyo and subsequently created the Magicstripes brand.

Nigel Bennett of TRS says, “We are thrilled to have been selected by Natalie Franz to develop this exciting and innovative brand within travel retail and build on their early success with key retailers to include Harvey Nichols and Selfridges.

“We feel the brand has great sales potential in all travel retail channels and with superb compact and slimline packaging this will enable airlines in particular to increase spend per head without compromising on valuable cart space.”

Magicstripes have an RRP in travel retail of £15 per pack ($22).
