ARI’s joint venture TRSS has expanded its presence at the new Abu Dhabi Terminal A.

Travel retailer ARI has unveiled a multi-category store at Abu Dhabi Terminal A under the banner of its joint venture TRSS, said to offer an “exceptional shopping experience”.

The latest expansion opened on 1 November and is said to establish ARI Middle East (ARIME) as “the foremost multi-site operator” in the region.

Perfumes, cosmetics, skincare, jewellery and sunglasses are all available in the new store.

The new Abu Dhabi Terminal A retail offer spans 18,000 sqm, with ARI operating 2,068 sqm for perfume, cosmetics, skincare, jewellery, and sunglasses.

The shop was developed in line with Abu Dhabi Airport’s (ADA) vision to deliver travel retail that “exceeds the expectations of stakeholders and passengers”.

Inspired by the culture and creativity of the region, the retail offering makes use of art installations, sculptural pieces and colour to deliver a sense of place.

The results are described as offering an “unprecedented, unique and outstanding travel retail experience”.

As well as paying homage to Emirati architecture and design, the store has been designed with the latest technology and ESG considerations in mind. It is also compliant with Estidama regulations, part of a green rating system.

TRSS has introduced over 100 brands spanning skincare, cosmetics and fragrance.

UAE-exclusive brands include Charlotte Tilbury, Huda Beauty, Fenty, Pat McGrath Labs, and Aesop.

Niche names are a key focus within fragrances, with Creed, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Penhaligons, Byredo, Diptyque, Parfum de Marly, Loewe, Thameen of London, and Initio all listed.

Beauty gifting rituals from Carolina Herrera, Molton Brown, Diptyque and Jo Malone are also available.

For Sunglasses the TRSS team has organised the offering under four categories: entry-level, lifestyle brands, premium fashion and luxury. Brands include Dior, Gucci and Cartier.

Categories in the expansion span perfumes, cosmetics, skincare, jewellery and sunglasses

Customer engagement is driven by tools including a digital magic mirror quiz to help guide customers to their perfect pair of sunglasses according to face shape.

A ‘Gem & I’ jewellery offering brings together both international and local brands to meet the needs of the customer mix.

The space offers a luxurious design with gifting a key focus. Brands include Swarovski, PDPAOLA and Arthur, a TRSS exclusive.

‘More than a business achievement’

“Seeing this project come to life has been a remarkable experience,” said Adrian Bradshaw, CEO, TRSS.

“We’ve poured our passion and commitment into creating these world-class stores, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see passengers enjoying them over the last few weeks.

“This venture is more than just a business achievement; it reflects our dedication to excellence and our commitment to providing an exceptional shopping experience in travel retail, both for our customers and our partners.

“The positive feedback we’re receiving is a positive affirmation of our efforts and vision.”

Rob Marriott, ARIME CEO, added: “We are thrilled to unveil our latest venture at Abu Dhabi Airport, a true testament to ARI’s commitment to innovation and excellence in travel retail.
