Dagberg reports to Jari Virtanen, Managing Director of Stena Line Travel & Retail Group,

Sweden-based R+F Travel Retail is continuing its recruitment drive after hiring Monika Dagberg as General Manager.

Dagberg joined the company on 1 January from Swedish retailer Granngården, where she held the post of E-Commerce Director.

Prior to this she worked as Managing Director of Online Brands Nordic AB (Hedbergs Guld & Önskefoto) and Business Unit Director within leading Nordic media group Egmont.

Her recruitment is the fifth in the space of a year after Tony Michaelsen, Charlotte Rankloo, Per-Anders Lindborg and Lennart Svensson strengthened the company’s ranks in 2021

Jari Virtanen, MD at R&F Travel Retail, said: “We are very happy to have been able to recruit an experienced leader like Monika with a strong background from retail to our company.

“As the travel retail industry is changing and digitalisation is becoming an integrated and significant part of both the customer experience and our ability to scale our business seamlessly to new markets, Monika’s strong background from e-commerce will truly strengthen the company going forward.

“I feel humble and honoured to have been given the opportunity to work with R&F, a great company with highly competent people and a high growth potential,” added Dagberg. “With the customer in focus and a digital mindset, we will continue to develop R&F into the future of travel retail.”
