Thailand arrivals show recovery

By Doug Newhouse |

Tourist arrivals to Thailand rose for the first time this year in the month of October (+6.14%) according to comments attributed by Reuters to Tourism Minister Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul last week.

The news agency said the increase points to ‘a recovery’ from the fall in arrivals following the military coup back in May. It adds that in the first 10 months of this year, tourist arrivals have declined by 8.7% to 19.7m.
