Liquor under threat in Indonesia?

A recent edition of the Jakarta Post has ‘suggested’ that a draft regulation could be in the pipeline advocating plain packaging or graphic pictorial warnings for alcohol products.The newspaper claims that Deputy Trade Minister Bayu Krisnamurthi has confirmed to it that a regulation has been drafted for use of one or the other packaging options on liquor products with a strength of 20 proof upwards. [There was no more detailed information that TRBusiness was able to obtain as this was being written, but we will endeavour to track some down-Ed].
