China Duty Free Group and L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific have opened the first Atelier Cologne pop-up in China, at the Haitang Bay Duty Free Shopping Centre in Sanya, Hainan.
According to L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific, Atelier Cologne continues to perform well in the region, with triple digit growth in 2019.
At the pop-up store, Atelier Cologne invites consumers on a ‘sensorial journey’ to discover it’s Cologne Absolues.
At the launch event customers were offered Cologne Absolue inspired mocktails and the chance to explore the Cologne Absolue inspired music videos by Jay Chou (the brand’s Chinese ambassador) via a digital sample vending machine.
‘NEXT-LEVEL’ SALES IN CHINA ANTICIPATED
At the pop-up visitors can pose for a ‘holiday photo’ against a backdrop inspired by the Parisian skyline to complete their ‘citrus filled journey’.
“With this new door, Atelier Cologne travel retail is confident [it can] take the sales performance to the next level in China,” says L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific.
L’Oréal signed an agreement to acquire the French niche fragrance producer founded in 2009 by Sylvie Ganter and Christophe Cervasel, back July 2016.
Atelier’s perfumes are inspired by Eau de Cologne, but made in a more concentrated form, Cologne Absolue.
TRUE TO FRENCH TRADITIONS
“We work with the most famous french Perfume Houses in Grasse to create perfumes with the most precious raw materials and in the respect of french traditions,” says the brand.
“Each raw material is chosen with a special care in order to take the best from the nature while respecting it. If a note doesn’t exist or can not be provided by nature, we recreate it.”
Atelier Cologne products are with 0% paraben, paraffinum liquidum, GMO, animal derived ingredients, colorants, sulfates.
