Changi Airport Group (CAG) is offering Singapore residents the opportunity to explore its new 225,000sq m Terminal 4, including the new integrated duty free shopping area, before it opens later this year.
Members of the public choosing to participate in the ‘Open House’ trial, due to run from 7 August to 20 August, can tour T4 points of interest using a specially created T4 Open House app during a 90-minute to two-hour period.
“The Open House visitors will be among the first to learn about and experience the innovations and ‘wow’ features at T4 – facial recognition technology, integrated duty-free shopping, kinetic art displays, a Heritage Zone, and specially curated sculptures, among many others,” said Poh Li San, Vice President, T4 Programme Management Office.
“The public has been eagerly waiting to see how the new T4 will be different from Changi’s other terminals. At the Open House, we will showcase T4’s latest innovations in enhancing operational efficiencies and productivity, in addition to the terminal’s many unique features.”
RETAIL E-VOUCHER COMPETITION
During the tour, members of the public can play location-based in-app games to win e-vouchers to use at Changi Airport’s retail and F&B outlets, take part in the Photo of the Day competition, and participate in a lucky draw to win tickets from T4 airlines.
Registration for the free of charge ticketed event begins today (5 July) at www.T4OpenHouse.com.
Each person who signs up can register up to six participants, with a total of 200,000 tickets available through the duration of the two-week period.
PRIME MINISTER TOUR
As reported, Changi released its final tenant list in May, which includes over 80 retail and F&B operators occupying over 16,000sq m of space.
For the first time, two core duty free categories – liquor and tobacco and perfumes and cosmetics operated by DFS Group and Shilla Duty Free, respectively – will operate in a single integrated duty free zone in the departure transit area after centralised immigration and security screening.
The much-anticipated shopping and dining offers will feature ‘popular brands, innovative concepts and experiential zones’, says Changi. [For further information on the list of retail tenants, click here].
Last weekend, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong toured the new double-storey terminal, which can handle 16m passengers a year – double the handling capacity of T3.
