Lotte wins gold medal in new Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards

Lotte Duty Free reports that it has won a gold medal in the international business website division of the prestigious 2017 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards.
Launched in 2002, The Stevie Awards are recognised as the equivalent ‘Oscars’ both recognising and rewarding ’the business performance and social contribution of companies and institutions worldwide.
LOTTE WEBSITE WINS GOLD PRIZE
Lotte Duty Free management stated: “The Lotte Duty Free Promotion site (kr.lottedfs.com) is well received for its innovative layout and design and has won the gold prize of the highest grade over the competition of 3,900 achievements from 60 countries.
“The website, which is produced in four languages in Korean, Chinese, Japanese and Korean with the motto ‘Continuously and continuously inform the customers of the brand and the event and maintain the relationship with the customer’, strengthens the brand of Lotte Duty Free shop.
“It functions as a multinational PR channel that provides a variety of contents only to Lotte Duty-Free Shop.”
The South Korean retailer said that the judges regarded the campaign as both ‘very creative and compelling’.
Lotte Duty Free’s Internet service has also been recognized in Korea, having won the iECO AWARD Grand Prize in Internet Accessibility for Internet Standardization Innovation last July.
ADDITIONAL AWARDS WON BY LOTTE
The award ceremony, sponsored by the Korea Internet Specialist Association, the Korea Institute of Creation Sciences and the Korea Information Society Agency honours individuals, companies and organizations that contribute to the development of the Internet ‘eco system’.
Lotte Duty Free adds that it is continuously making efforts to improve the accessibility of people with disabilities and to fulfil corporate social responsibilities, having also obtained a certification mark from the web accessibility evaluation centre last April.
Commenting, Jang Seon-wook, CEO of Lotte Duty Free said: “This year’s award is meaningful as Lotte Duty Free is acknowledged to be preparing various standards for the on-line duty free market, which is growing day by day.
“In addition, it has become an opportunity to strengthen our core competencies and to further enhance our competitiveness in the face of environmental difficulties.”
