TRConnect spotlights new research from Jessica’s Secret and associates

Jessica’s Secret shared insights from the first volume of a new travel retail journal with approximately 500 participants tuning in for the latest TRConnect webinar held this week.
Stephie Yang, Head of Business Development at Jessica’s Secret presented findings from the Oriental Travel Retail Observer (OTRO) journal during an insight-rich presentation. [Click below to watch the webinar in full].
She revealed new digital marketing techniques for global luxury goods comparison app Jessica’s Secret against the backdrop of shifting travel and spending behaviours in China.
OTRO, a partnership between Jessica’s Secret, China Merchants Securities, Jincheng Tongda & Neal Law Firm and the aviation, travel and retail industries in China, claims to be the first Chinese organisation in travel retail to generate industry research reports, big data analysis, user surveys and legal opinions.
It cites its understanding of the Chinese market and behaviours of Chinese customers as well as the unique economic and political environment as its greatest advantage and has committed to ‘strive to act as a neutral third party’ in presenting information.
The first volume includes a special focus on Hainan’s Free Trade Port and rapid offshore duty free development, which industry sources have branded a ‘shot in the arm’ for travel retail.
