The Tax Free World Association (TFWA) has opened pre-registration for travel retail and duty free professionals planning to attend this year’s Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference in Singapore.
Due to be held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre from 7-11 May, the event typically attracts over 3,000 visitors and 300 exhibiting brands.
The conference, which takes place immediately before the trade show opens, explores political and business contexts across the Asia Pacific region, as well as issues and challenges specific to duty free and travel retail.
2023 marks the first large-scale return of the event following the Covid-19 pandemic.
Changi Airport Group has been named the official host, with operator Dufry and confectionery supplier Mondelēz International Platinum sponsors.
Alongside Dufry, TFWA says operators including DFS Group, Lagardère Travel Retail, 3Sixty Duty Free & More, Starboard Cruise Services, Delhi Duty Free and King Power have already confirmed attendance. Singapore Airlines is the event’s official air carrier.
Delegates can book their place via the TFWA website until Wednesday 5 April.
“With the return of a full-scale format, this year’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference is most certainly shaping up to be another successful event,” said Erik Juul-Mortensen, TFWA President.
“As one of the highlights of the industry calendar, it’s very pleasing to see that interest in the event is already high, and an impressive array of brands has committed to join us. I am thrilled that we’re able to bring our industry together in Asia once again, for what promises to be a great week in Singapore.”
The scaled-back 2022 edition of TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference attracted 677 DF&TR industry executives from 235 companies.
