Shops and restaurants at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) are preparing for the Christmas rush with a series of promotions and seasonal novelties.
Travellers can enjoy money-off coupons at stores in international departures and try their luck on the wheel of fortune for a chance to win discounts on merchandise.
Those seeking last-minute deals can avail themselves of offers at more than 300 shops and restaurants, which stay open throughout the holiday season including on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve.
Shops are also open on 23 December, a time when downtown outlets in Germany are traditionally closed.

FRA’s online shop is also offering a multitude of special offers and gifting ideas covering fragrances, liquor, jewellery and electronics, which can also be reserved for collection.
Additionally, German residents can arrange for home delivery, provided their destination is in another EU country.
Frankfurt Airport said: “In line with its declared vision: ‘Gute Reise! We make it happen,’ the airport operator Fraport has placed the focus firmly on passengers and their personal needs.
“With this philosophy in mind, Fraport continues to develop new services and initiatives designed to improve the airport experience and enhance customer centricity at Germany’s most important aviation hub.”
Keeping with the festive spirit, FRA is lighting up the terminal with lights and tinsel, while singing angels will keep travellers entertained in international departures.
On the four advent weekends in December, a calligrapher will decorate tree ornaments in Terminal 1, Concourse B.
Passengers can also delight in winter fun and games such as snowball fights and indulge in culinary specialities.
