TUMI Milan Linate Sept 2017 topLeading business and travel essentials goods company Tumi has opened a 90sq m premium travel and lifestyle bags and accessories store right next to its parent company Samsonite shop in Milan Linate Airport’s airside departures area.

The white decor outlet is said to be located ‘in a prime position’ in the eyeline of all passengers as they enter the luxury brand’s departures area after passport control – where some of Tumi’s latest lines from its Fall/Winter 2017 portfolio are on display.

Commenting on the new initiative, Damien Mignot, Tumi General Director Europe said: “Our new shop at Milan Linate airport will give Tumi access to the huge number of business and leisure passengers who pass through this Italian hub each day.

APPEALING TO ‘FAST-MOVING GLOBAL CITIZENS’

“We have chosen to showcase a wide selection of pieces from our latest collections, including totes, backpacks, accessories, electronics, carry-ons and some large travel pieces, which we are confident will appeal to these fast-moving global citizens.”

Among the featured collections will be the Tumi TLX collection of travel pieces, which has been launched this summer in response to the emerging trend ‘for fusing business with leisure travel’ – known as ‘bleisure’.

Tumi says the highlight of the collection is the TLX International Carry-On (226007), a slim and lightweight cabin bag with an easy-access main compartment, divided into two zipped pockets and designed for short trips.
