Schiphol Group has appointed Jan Willem Weissink as Director of Schiphol Real Estate succeeding André van den Berg, who will become the new Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer of the group from 1 April, as previously reported.

Weissink (50) has been the CEO of real estate company Klepierre Nederland, formerly Corio, since 2011 and has previously held management positions at Ahold Real Estate and Nutricia. From 2007, he served in administrative roles in the real estate and retail sectors.

Maarten de Groof, the departing Chief Commercial Officer of Schiphol Group, comments: “Jan Willem brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the team. He naturally fits into Schiphol’s vision to develop into an ‘airport city’.
