EU visitors multiply for Braun at TFWA Cannes

At this year’s TFWA World Exhibition visitors to the Braun stand in the Mediterranean Village showed great interest in the new Series 9 and Series 3 shavers, battery operated travel beard trimmer PT 5090 and the Braun Face product – a combination of a facial cleansing brush and a facial epilator.
Braun says that the company’s display solutions – presented at the company’s secondary location next to the main Braun stand – also attracted attention from buyers. One of the displays presented the new cooperation between Braun and Travel Blue; a move welcomed my many global duty free operators.

“Visitors from Europe dominated more than in previous years (57% of all visitors to the Braun stand) as overseas visitor numbers were markedly down versus last year,” says the company. “At TFWA 2014 European visitors represented only 42% of total visitors to Braun.
“This year the share of visitors from the Americas was 13%, from the Middle East 12%, from Asia Pacific 16% and from Africa a very poor 2% (vs. 7% share last year).”
Braun remarks that there were also less airline buyers who visited the Braun stand; -35% year-on-year. “This may reflect the fact that airlines are the least profitable segment in Braun’s travel retail mix,” added the company.
“Nevertheless, especially the new travel beard trimmer PT 5090 and the more compact packing for Braun Face found keen interest from airline buyers.”
