Christine Howard joins Tourvest as new COO

Tourvest Inflight Retail Services has appointed Christine Howard as its new Chief Operating Officer, who brings more than 20 years’ experience from within the inflight industry.
This includes more than 12 years working within the warehouse and logistics business, as well as the last decade where she has specialised in buy on board and boutique inflight retail operations.
Howard brings a wealth of experience from the inflight sector, having held the position of Operations Manager at gategroup for two years, prior to being promoted to the position of Head of European Operations.
As the leader in this subsequent demanding role, she managed a number of major European airline operations during this time.
‘IMPRESSIVE LEADER’
Tourvest describes its new COO as ‘an impressive leader with excellent client relationship management skills’ and a portfolio of success, which includes several key projects. These include operational start-ups, while also achieving continuous improvements across a European network.
Commenting on the appointment, Tourvest CEO Clive Jones said: “This is a key appointment to our executive team of specialised experts and Christine joins us with a wealth of knowledge and experience.
“She aligns to our business culture and client centricity principles, a crucial part of working within the Tourvest team and has integrated seamlessly into our company.”
MAJOR NEW ROLE
The company adds that Howard will be responsible for developing the operational and solution design functions of the business, by building on Tourvest’s position as a leading provider and innovator in the boutique inflight retail services – as well as buy on board.
It concludes that this appointment marks another key milestone in aligning the Tourvest Inflight Retail Services’ promise of being a ‘Faster, Smarter and Trusted Partner’ to its current customers, as well as to all new prospects.
