Jean Paul Gaultier’s Classic and Le Mâle reborn for Belle & Beau scents
By Charlotte Turner |
Barcelona-based beauty and fashion house, Puig, has added two new fragrances, inspired by Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, to Jean Paul Gaultier’s range.
Le Beau and La Belle, created by perfumers Quentin Bisch and Sonia Constant, are now available now in travel retail across Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific.
Based on the biblical Garden of Eden story, Gaultier created his own ‘magical tale’ called the ‘Garden of Gaultier’.
“On the first day, he created an enchanting garden; on the second day he made La Belle and Le Beau – born from JPG Classic and Le Mâle,” says the brand.
“On the third day, he concocted the most delightful, divine and delectable sins, and on the fourth day he rested.”
La Belle, classed as an oriental vanilla, features vetiver and pear, while Le Beau’s key fragrance notes include tonka bean, bergamot and coconut wood.
