Lancôme launches 3D Wonderland at LHRT5

Lancôme’s colourful past and present is being featured in a major ‘Wonderland’ event at London Heathrow T5 between May 30 to June 11.

 

This major 3D exhibition is being staged on a 12sq m podium at the World Duty Free fragrance and cosmetics shop in Heathrow T5 and is being described as ‘a never-seen before event’ ‘that travellers cannot miss’. – from May 30 until June 11

 

The company said: “The Wonderful World of Lancôme is an unprecedented journey to the heart of the brand, an immersion in a dream-like world where life is beautiful. For the first time, in the most prestigious department stores in the world, Lancôme is revealing all the beauty of its history and its present. With magic, enchantment and technology.

 

“In echo of Tim Burton’s imaginative world, Wonderland, The Wonderful World of Lancôme is a fabulous saga staged using avant-garde technology. The brand with the rose has chosen the Kinect system. Solely through body movement recognition, without the need for any manual controls, visitors to the exhibition interact with the spaces and objects to pursue the adventure and activate different surprises.”

 

Lancôme says that through this totally immersive 3D experience ‘The Wonderful World of Lancôme’ exhibition offers ‘an astonishing and extraordinary interlude’.

 

Describing the experience, the beauty company said: “After strolling through a reinvented Paris, enter the House of Lancôme and open the seven doors one by one to experience seven enchanting encounters.

 

PAST AND PRESENT EXPERIENCE

“Wander through the magic garden with extravagant botanical sculptures where, guarded like a secret, the Lancôme Rose reveals its history; further on, discover Lancôme’s treasures and make them shine brightly one by one; then go behind the scenes of a film set to meet the ambassadresses, icons of a happy femininity; elsewhere, discover Lancôme’s most precious perfumes in a breath-taking decor; experience a futurist ride as a passenger on a skincare odyssey; and stir up the most vibrant make-up colours in a stunning grand finale…”

 

The company says that more than 18 months’ work went into this creation, with some 60 people required to bring the exhibition to life with its exclusive soundtrack by Alain Mouysset, which is orchestrated by the Digitas France teams.

 

It adds that the exhibition’s staging has been designed in the style of a chic and modern alcove, a setting half-way between a streamlined box and an Haussmannian apartment – grey with moulding on the outside, and luminously enchanting on the inside. Large format photos of roses by Jennifer Lund are dotted around the space.
