Networking at TFWA Asia Pacific

By Kevin Rozario |

Delegates at this year’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference in Singapore will, as usual, get several social networking opportunities away from the show.

The duty free and travel retail event, which will be staged in the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Center (MBS), from 11-15 May has a social programme that tees off with a golf tournament on Sunday 11 May, organised in partnership with Interparfums, on the par-72 Tanjong course of Sentosa Club, while that evening the historic Raffles Hotel is the venue for the Opening Cocktail.

This year, the annual Chill-out Party, sponsored by Tic Tac, takes place on Tuesday 13 May at the Skypark on top of the MBS hotel. The closing social gathering is the Singapore Swing Party the next evening at its usual location; the grand 19th century Alkaff Mansion (above) in the city suburbs where a renowned operatic diva will be the highlight.

Other out-of-show networking opportunities include the TFWA Asia Pacific Bar on level 4 of MBS, with an outdoor terrace overlooking Marina Bay. The bar will open on Monday from 5pm to 7.30pm and from 6pm on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The bar sponsors this year are Bache Distribution, Bardinet, Barokes, Barton & Guestier, Bottega Spa, Brown Forman, Camus La Grande Marque, Constellation Brands, Diageo, Dupuy, International Beverage, La Martiniquaise, Lateltin AG, Protege International, Torres and Tequila Corralejo/ Fraternity Spirits.

For the first time, the TFWA Asia Pacific Bar will also be serving breakfast from Tuesday to Thursday from 8am to 9.30am for early morning meetings.

Further details about the show can be found at www.tfwa.com.
