New foundation and skincare formulas from Sisley

By Caroline Sargent |

Sisley has two new products to present to visitors at Cannes this October: Phyto-Teint Expert, a new fluid foundation available in eight shades; and the brand’s first dry facial oil, Huile Précieuse la Rose Noire.

The Phyto-Teint Expert ‘high tech’ foundation is an all day long formula that blends seamlessly with the skin to give 12 hours of ‘second-skin’ coverage. In its bid to help women achieve a flawless complexion Sisley says it has selected different grades of powders to even skintone and it is these ‘new generation’ powders that are Phyto-Teint Expert’s secret to naturally unifying the complexion, subtly camouflaging imperfections and recreating a more beautiful skin texture.

Combining pigments and active ingredients that both cover and protect the skin, the expert formula provides instant comfort and ensures radiant skin throughout the day. Plant derivatives including Frangipani blossom, Cucumber extract, plant Glycerin and D-Panthenol moisturize, soften and soothe as well as improving the skin’s radiance with regular use.

In addition the anti-free-radical properties of Ginkgo biloba leaf extract and Vitamin E help protect the skin from external aggressions and strengthen its natural defences. Perfectly moisturised and softened, skin is smoother and better able to reflect light, resulting in a more radiant complexion. Oil-free and non-comedogenic, Phyto-Teint Expert provides high levels of coverage while allowing the skin to breathe.

Brand’s first facial oil

Huile Précieuse la Rose Noire, or Black Rose Precious Face Oil (pictured top right) is Sisley’s first facial skincare oil and provides anti-aging nutrition to dehydrated skin through a silky-smooth dry elixir rich in omega 3 and 6 oils.

A follow up to the 2011 launch of the Black Rose Cream Mask which, according to the brand and NPD 2013 research, quickly became the number one French luxury face mask and a cult product, the skin oil is a floral infusion of Black Rose, Bulgarian Rose, Magnolia and Geranium with an ultra-fine texture that leaves a satin, not shiny, finish on the skin.

Used morning or night on its own or under daily skin care products, the oil is aimed at more mature skin types, 30 years and over, and is said to ‘regenerate, tone and restore the skin’s dynamics’, smoothing lines and wrinkles, resulting in a more radiant, plumped up complexion.
