Agio Cigars will unveil the Balmoral Añejo XO, its latest expression of premium handmade Dominican Republic cigars, at next week’s TFWA World Exhibition & Conference.

The new luxury addition builds on the success of the existing Balmoral range – The Balmoral Dominican Selection and Balmoral Private Collection 25, says the brand.

“Now that the core range is established internationally, the natural next step is to expand and offer discerning cigar smokers an exclusive, premium handmade range,” says Agio Cigars’ Global Travel Retail Manager Gertrude Stormink.

This new travel retail exclusive, which includes four new products presented in small, convenient packs tailored specifically for travelling consumers, will be available from early November.

Three of them are single variety four-packs of Gran Toro, Rothschild Masivo and Petit Robusto FT cigars. The fourth product is a gift box containing an assortment of five handmade cigars, comprising two Petit Robusto FT cigars, two Rothschild Masivo cigars and one Gran Toro cigar.

“Whilst Balmoral Añejo XO is a focus (at Cannes), we will also discuss concepts for development with our travel retail partners, so we continue to effectively engage with consumers with premium shopper experiences that help grow the cigar category further,” added Stormink.

Launched in 2012 and available in leading international airports, the Balmoral Dominican Selection is a ‘widely recognised quality cigar range, offering a mild aromatic taste’.

The Balmoral Private Collection 25, launched just last year, comes in an exclusive travel retail gift box with 25 assorted cigars. This range is currently listed in airports in Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
