Studio 19 London to launch new Solo Play portable device in GTR

Solo Play is one of the world’s first pocket-sized portable devices capable of transforming any wired/wireless speaker into an Amazon Alexa Artificial Intelligence assistant.

Studio 19 London, the in-house premium audio brand from Nuwave Channel Partners, is to launch the new Solo Play pocket-sized portable device in travel retail and duty free.

According to the brand, Solo Play is one of the world’s first pocket-sized portable devices capable of transforming any wired/wireless speaker into an Amazon Alexa Artificial Intelligence assistant. The new Solo Play device will enter the channel in October with its first listing on Aer Lingus.

Nuwave Channel Partners, which recently added Armor London to its brand portfolio comprising of Bitmore and Studio 19, already supplies technology, gadgets and accessories in travel retail across 40 airlines. These include Emirates, Virgin Atlantic, Etihad Airways, Norwegian, easyJet and Ryanair.

ULTRA-PORTABLE DEVICE

According to the company, Solo Play is sleek and ultra-portable (50x50x14mm/25g) and one of the smallest devices to be Amazon Alexa-certified.

Using the Solo Play app (available from the App Store and Google Play), users can easily convert their favourite Bluetooth speaker into an Amazon Alexa smart device and enjoy the personal assistant experience anytime and anywhere.

Solo-Play-TwoThe device boasts a voice control range of 33ft (10m), a built-in rechargeable battery offering eight-10 hours of standby and also acts as a music amplifier. This allows users to plug standard headphones into the 3.5mm aux port and hear their music with a natural, dynamically-enhanced lift, according to Studio 19 London.

Solo Play (left) also connects to any wired music system and offers the ability to stream music from a phone, tablet or laptop to any location including the car, office and home.
