Ámundadóttir to leave Icelandair DF&TR after more than 10 years’ service

Icelandair Inflight Duty Free Manager Thelma Ámundadóttir will depart at the end of the month (31 July) after a 13-year career with Iceland’s flag carrier.

Confirming the news in a circulated email, Ámundadóttir said: “I have enjoyed my time here, and I appreciate having had the opportunity to work with you.”

It is not known whether a replacement has been appointed and TRBusiness has reached out for further comment.

Thelma Ámundadóttir has served Icelandair for 13 years.

Ámundadóttir has worked in Icelandair’s inflight DF&TR division since 2007 and was appointed as Inflight Duty Free Manager last year.

In the role, she holds responsibility for overseeing daily operations for the airline’s inflight boutique service Saga Shop and webshop sagashop.net; handling relationships with partners and suppliers; inventory management; managing budgets; and developing Saga Shop’s duty free sales.
