Dubai International Airport-based fine wine and luxury spirits retailer Le Clos is celebrating its 10th anniversary during October.
As part of the celebrations, Le Clos has worked closely with various brands to deliver exclusive offers and promotions with many unique to Le Clos.
These include limited editions and rare products and experiences with partners such as Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Olivier Leflaive, Chateau Talbot, The Macallan and Remy Martin.
Iain Delaney, Chief Operating Officer, MMI and Le Clos told TRBusiness: “Since opening our first store in Concourse B back in October 2008, we have picked up a few awards and set a few records which we are delighted with.
GAME-CHANGER
“The starting point was the single idea around trying to create something that changed the game at the luxury end in travel retail. We wanted to be more than just a wine shop. We believed we could change the game in higher-end wine retailing in that environment and become a bit of a destination.”
The month-long celebrations include a series of special events and masterclasses in Dubai, at iconic venues and landmarks around the city.
Customers have the chance to purchase exclusively curated bottlings for the 10th Anniversary, including back vintages and signed bottles.
Visitors have access to parcels from 2008, limited-edition bottles from Le Clos’ own label Napa Valley wines, collaborations with some of the world’s most revered whisky producers and many more offers which will be revealed throughout the month.
Following its launch in 2008, Le Clos has grown from one store in Dubai International Airport Concourse B, to the opening of its 10th location in Terminal 3 (arrivals).
Over the last decade, Le Clos has also achieved a number of records in the fine wine and spirits category, most recently in 2018, with the $1.2m sale of two bottles of The Macallan 1926.
Eugene Barry, Executive Vice President, Commercial at Dubai Airports said: “In our business, operational expertise matched with creativity, are key differentiators. Le Clos continues to exceed this vision, while fulfilling a critical and evolving aspect of Dubai Internationals’ consumer strategy.
“We are proud of Le Clos’ record-making achievements during our first decade as partners and I wish to thank their management and front-line sales team for their specialised knowledge, personal dedication and collective success.”
‘REMARKABLE FEATS’
Ben Odgers, General Manager of Le Clos added: “This year is a great moment in the story of the Le Clos family. In just 10 years, we’ve been able to achieve some remarkable feats — bringing our vision to life and making history along the way.
“Our team has been dedicated to making the Le Clos experience truly memorable and as we’ve grown, we’ve taken huge pleasure in seeing our customers grow with us in their exploration of the world of finest wine and luxury spirits.
“This last decade has seen partnerships with iconic producers from Bordeaux First Growths through to New World icons and some of the world’s most sought-after spirits producers. We’re very excited about how we can share new experiences with our customers in the future.”
The promotions and special offers for the 10th birthday celebrations will run throughout October. They will be made available, to Le Clos customers in-store and online. Offers will include limited edition bottles, starting at $100.
