QDF’s new Nails salon at Hamad Airport with A.N.D

Qatar Duty Free (QDF) has opened a new dedicated Nails hair and beauty salon within its Blush boutique, which is designed to offer passengers express beauty services within 40 minutes before they travel from Hamad International Airport (HIA).

The new 24-hour service is located in the airport’s main atrium of the airport and offers a range of beauty treatments that QDF says have been created to take no longer than 30 to 40 minutes.

The duty free operator adds that  passengers also have a choice from a wide selection of manicures and pedicures, including French manicure, shape and polish, Incoco and Vinylux, as well as other services such as massages, waxing and threading.

Nails is operated by the A.N.D Trading Company, which owns eight salons in key locations in Qatar, such as the Four Seasons, Marriott and Crowne Plaza hotels in Doha. Qatar Duty Free adds that the menu of services also includes a choice of eight different blow dry styles, scalp massage and Kerastase hair treatments.

All the treatments at Nails have been designed to last no longer than 30-40 minutes.

WORLD-CLASS FACILITIES
The salon operates a walk-in service where passengers choose their style and leave 30 minutes later. Commenting on this new service, Senior Vice President Qatar Duty Free, Keith Hunter said: “Qatar Duty Free is very pleased to announce the opening of Nails at Hamad International Airport.

“This service has been introduced to add another element of luxury to the traveller experience at our state-of-the-art airport, which offers unprecedented world-class facilities in a highly passenger-focused environment.”

The menu of services includes a choice of eight different blow dry styles, scalp massage and Kerastase hair treatments – ‘Nails’ is open 24 hours a day.

Qatar Duty Free adds that it has enjoyed ‘consistent double-digit growth’ year-on-year and is now the second largest duty free operator in the Middle East. In April 2015, QDF won the Global Travel Retailer of the Year at the DFNI Global Awards, for the third year in a row. The operator also runs another retail outlet at Doha Port.

Airport management’s current plan is to welcome 25m passengers per year, with this expected to ultimately grow to 50m. At 600,000sq m, the HIA passenger terminal complex is currently the largest building in Doha, with the F&B and retail area alone covering more than 25,000sq m.
