Bermuda L.F. Wade International Airport will issue an RFP for duty free and speciality retail concession for its new terminal in August.

Bermuda Skyport Corporation Limited (Skyport) is seeking expressions of interest from qualified retailers to run a number of ‘world class’ retail concessions at Bermuda L. F. Wade International Airport’s New Passenger Terminal Building.

These include the following:

Four speciality retail units located at the landside/public area, including one at the check-in zone (533sq ft) and three in arrivals (545sq ft, 492 sq ft and 290sq ft).

Three duty free/speciality retail concessions at airside/post security: Three situated at US departures (2,193sq ft, 445sq ft and 343sq ft); and two at international departures (2,047sq ft and 1,435sq ft). One further duty free unit (1,220sq ft) is available on the ground level of airside/arrivals.

Interested parties are invited to submit a written summary of qualifications and experience to the airport by 22 June, with the new concessions anticipated to begin on July 2020.

RFP IN AUGUST

A Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued to eligible parties in August, with proposals to be submitted within 90 days of the date the RFP is issued.

“EOIs should demonstrate capability to finance, design, implement, market, manage and operate a high quality retail concession,” read the document.

“Relevant industry references should be provided. Commercial and technical information including passenger numbers, growth forecast, design criteria, financial requirements, etc. will be shared during the RFP process.”
