By Andrew Pentol |
MarketPlace Logan, an affiliate of Boston-based New England Development and manager of the Boston Logan Concessions Programme (BOS Shop Dine) has announced the next batch of local and national retail and food and beverage outlets to open at Boston Logan International Airport before the end of the year.
This latest development follows the BOS Shop Dine Programme’s August announcement that some of Boston’s most prominent brands would be opening at the airport. These include the now open Lucca Restaurant & Bar and Kelly’s Roast Beef in Terminal B. Other recent openings include Dunkin Donuts, Pei Wei Asian Kitchen and Starbucks.
Shopping options also now include 5th & Sunset, Ink by Hudson, New England Collection, Tech on the Go and Tumi.
LOCAL FLAVOUR
In order to embrace the culture of surrounding neighbourhoods and the New England region, the airport will showcase local flavour and popular shopping areas. These include North End deli and Italian market Monica’s Mercato, Portland, Maine favourite Otto Pizza, Chinatown gastropub Shōjō Boston, Official Burger of the Boston Red Sox Tasty Burger, Boston Mexican hot-spot Temazcal Tequila Cantina, Asian fast-casual establishment Wow Bao and Mac Cosmetics. All outlets are set to open in 2019.
Paul McGinn, President, MarketPlace Development said: “Our team is very excited to announce this next phase of restaurants, fast-casual eateries and shopping options to the travelling public at Boston Logan.
“We think passengers will welcome these well-known brands, many of which are local in nature and will create a hometown feel for our travellers. MarketPlace Logan along with our collaboration with Massport looks forward to offering a taste of Boston and New England.
“That’s something we stand behind and will remain committed to when introducing new restaurants and retailers to our Boston Logan community.”
Specific terminal locations and more opening details will be announced in due course.
