Pacific Gateway Concessions (PGC) has appointed former Westfield SVP, Joe Waller, to the position of Chief Executive Officer.

“The company is excited to bring Joe in to the business at this time,” said managing member Manuel Soto III. Joe will lead the growing Pacific Gateway team thru the next phases of expansion across North America.

NEXT STAGES OF GROWTH

“On the back of the new business growth we achieved last year and projects and opportunities in front of us, this is a great time to tap his expertise and leadership for our operations and the next stages of our growth.”

Waller also served as Vice President of Business Development for HMSHost, where he supposedly directed airport relationships generating roughly $400m in sales annually.

He also played a ‘major role’ in creating B4 You Board; HMSHost’s ‘award-winning’ smart phone app that allows travellers to purchase meals and have them delivered to the gate where they are awaiting their flight.

He has served as Chairman of the Airport Council International – North America Associates Board of Directors and currently is on the Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) Board of Directors.

Waller noted that: “PGC is one of the only companies in our industry with operations throughout the United States that is 100% American owned, privately held and a graduate of the ACDBE program. Though PGC has grown significantly since it was founded, the PGC team has not lost their entrepreneurial spirit and passion for innovation. I am honoured to have the opportunity to lead this company.”
