ModiFace’s make-up virtual try-on enables travellers to apply augmented reality technology to discover various online beauty brands.

Lotte Duty Free and L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific have launched ModiFace, augmented reality powered make up try-on through Lotte Duty Free’s online platform. The launch marks the first online make-up virtual try-on experience in the Asia Pacific travel retail beauty sector.

It also follows L’Oréal’s 100% acquisition of ModiFace, a leader in augmented reality and artificial intelligence for the beauty industry, last year.

In line with L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific’s digital acceleration strategy, today’s (17 December) official launch provides global travellers with innovative technologies in terms of services and beauty experience.

Available at Lotte Duty Free Online, ModiFace’s make-up virtual try-on enables travellers to apply augmented reality technology to discover online beauty brands such as Lancôme, Giorgio Armani, L’Oréal Paris and Urban Decay.
