Heritage shaver from Capi and Philips

By Caroline Sargent |

Electronics retailer Capi has launched a new limited edition shaver in conjunction with Philips. The Holland Heritage travel retail exclusive shaver is already on sale at Capi stores in the Netherlands.

Following the introduction of Philips’ 9000-series shavers, Capi and Philips have once again teamed up to create a unique edition especially for airport consumers. To emphasize the Dutch heritage of both companies, the famous Delft blue print has been reproduced on the packaging, lending it a sense of place that should appeal to international travellers.

The Holland Heritage comes with a separate trimmer and cleansing brush in a stylish toiletry bag and can be used cordlessly for up to 50 minutes. The 9000-shaver uses V-track precision blades, especially designed to shave in every angle, following the contours of the face for the perfect shave.

Peter Wiggers, Managing Director, Royal Capi-Lux, says, “We are happy to launch this product with the top management of Philips. We believe Capi to be one of the few electronics retailers in the world able to provide a platform for unique products such as this Holland Heritage shaver.

“We know our customers and we know exactly what they want. In this local heritage product, travellers will find something truly Dutch with the high quality they expect from Philips and Capi.”

Capi attributes its ‘excellent relationship with suppliers of leading A-brands and premium brands’ as paramount in creating exclusive and limited edition products for its stores.

Steven van Dortmond, Global Channel Manager Travel Retail at Philips comments, “We are very proud of our Holland Heritage shaver. With strong partnerships and collaborations like this one with Capi, we truly capture the potential and value of the travelling consumer.

“Understanding our target consumers and creating relevant solutions for them is at the heart of our organization. We are truly happy to have made this exceptional personal care product together with Capi – a strong partner who shares our Dutch heritage.”
